Top 10 Ways To Spend Your Summer In Winter Park
Long warm days with an explosion of wildflowers and lush foliage, crisp mountain air, cool nights and evenings herald the arrival of summer in Winter Park, Colorado. Along with ideal weather, the summer also brings a number of fun things to do and see close to our Winter Park, Colorado vacation rentals. This top ten list will help you start discovering everything that Winter Park has to offer during the summer days outside our Winter Park rental homes.
1. Boogie Down – The Winter Park Jazz Fest happens on July 24 & 25 at Hideaway Park, in downtown Winter Park. With an unbeatable lineup including Chaka Khan and Norman Brown's Summer Storm, this is the perfect event to boogie down at.
2. Play at the Park - Winter Park Resort's summer activities offers a plethora of kid-friendly activities: the alpine slide (Colorado's longest slide!), mini golf, human maze, scenic chairlift rides and bungy jumping on trampolines.
3. Learn from an experienced flyfishing guide how to tantalize a rainbow or brown trout on local waters, public or private access available near our Winter Park accommodations.
4. With 4 championship mountain golf courses - Pole Creek, Grand Elk, Headwaters & Grand Lake - golfers rejoice in Grand County. Alpine Resort Properties can save you money on rounds and even book your tee times for you.
5. If water sports and boating are your thing, head out from our Winter Park rental home to Grand Lake to play on the three lakes (Lake Granby, Shadow Mountain and Grand Lake) and be sure to meander through the quaint town of Grand Lake, filled with art galleries, restaurants, and such.
6. Take a guided 2 hour horseback trail ride - great family fun! (Just be prepared to hear about the horse your child rode named "Shiloh" for the remainder of the week.)
7. Single track on over 600 miles of mountain bike trails (there's a reason Winter Park was coined Mountain Bike Capital, USA™). For the hard core riders, check out the new terrain at Trestle Bike Park or SolVista Bike Park. For the less technical riders, rent a bike and cruise along the paved Fraser River Trail.
8. Whoop it up at one of the local rodeos- The High Country Stampede at the John Work Arena in Fraser or Flying Heels near Granby. Be sure to partake in some local flair, including the BBQ dinner for you and mutton busting for the kids!
9. Take a hike! To the top of Byers Peak, Devils Thumb, Columbine Lake... the list is quite extensive, and there are all levels of accessible terrain. Or take a drive through Rocky Mountain National Park, have lunch in Estes Park - you can make a full day of it.
10. Tour the history. There are 3 local museums that will take you back to early life in the Fraser Valley, thanks to the Grand County Historical Association.

About the Author
Whats the name of this Boogie song?
I heard it on the radio but I might have heard the lyrics wrong...
I think it went:
"aaaah wah wah, boogie."
or
"aaaah walk walk, boogie."
It sounded like a 1950s doo-wop song and it was women singers. Very catchy...
i think its "The Wah Watusi"
hope i helped!! :]
